So, Emerald is the color for 2013?

Hello everyone ! Happy Wednesday !
Have you heard about this color of the year thing? Maybe you have, maybe this post has come a little late as it was announced last year, but, I decided to write it anyway as it is the color for 2013 and this is just the beginning of 2013...

I have never ever heard of this Pantone color of the year until I saw it on the E! Channel, and to be honest, It caught my attention, it's interesting, I mean, It gives you some sort of  what to expect for the season. However, the most important thing is not to go with the trend but get inspired by it, if you don't like emerald, then there are many other colors that Pantone has marked as the 'it' colors for this spring, but those will come in other posts.

We'll begin with a round-up of emerald things so we can start getting the feeling of this color that symbolizes nature, growth, renewal, health and environment and it is also said to be a restful color with some of the same calming attributes of blue.  ( Ok, I googled this, don't think I know all this about every color ! )

SAG Awards 2013 : Fashion Report

Another Sunday, another Awards Ceremony, that's Hollywood... So hard..
In case you don't know, the Sag Awards stands for Screen Actors Guild Awards and it's a ceremony where actors give each other awards, an ego boost, and an honor also to know that your partners think you are doing a good job...There is a rumor that the winners in the SAG Awards are normally the same winners for the Oscars, guess we'll have to wait until that to confirm...

Now let's get to the point of the title: the dresses!!! Who was looking good and who needs help...Let's check them out and remember to sound off in the comments :)

Jennifer Lawrence in a navy Dior Haute. Looks like it is becoming a favorite for her, remember the Golden Globes? BTW, she got the SAG Awards for Best Actress.

Sundance Film Festival : Winter Fashion Report

So, The Sundance Film Festival is being held right now and will be ending tomorrow. What do they do there? That has always been my question : It's always held every year in January and in Utah ( Why don't they choose a warmer time ? ) and it's one of the largest independent film festivals in USA. It gathers many celebrities, and that's what we love...

In spite of having their butts freezing out there, as it is winter, the celebrities come out to a casual-winter-like red carpet, so, it's their opportunity to dress  normal without the fuss of a ''red carpet'' but still be in a ''red carpet''.

Now, let's see what the stars are wearing right now for winter, maybe it could inspire you and give you ideas or maybe you could just hate what they are wearing...

Dressed in nude?

Nude is one of those basic ' must have ' colors of every season ( in my opinion ), very versatile and easy to combine with anything we want.

We saw at the Golden Globes that nude gowns were one of the trends spotted in the red carpet ( Click here for a refresher ) and to be honest, it looks really good.  I always thought of nude color for pumps or shirts but never gave it a try with a dress.

So, to commemorate the recent awards, I have pulled some outfits with a nude dress being the central piece, here are my picks:

This one is the fancy nude. Give it a little something extra with some red/oxblood/burgundy or whatever you wanna call it.  Who says nude is boring?

Here come the Aztecs

Lately, I've been seeing this type of prints in stores like Zara, Pull & Bear and others,  and  online as well, and I'm liking it.  This trend is coming full of colors just in time for spring and it's also being combined with bold colors and the classic black & white mix.

Burberry SS 2013: Colors, Metallics and Bags!

Hello everybody !
Today we'll talk about Burberry and their Spring season line, do you love this designer?

This British house is bringing on full color and also metallics which will give a little twist on the bold colors expected for spring and make a subtle transition from the sparkles from Christmas to this colorful season with the metallic accessories ( and some clothes too ! )

I'm not much into metallics for clothes, I think I don't look good, but, I do love it for accessories, it makes the outfit more fun.

Golden Globes 2013: 4 trends spotted

Hello all!
So, the Awards season has officially begun with the Golden Globes, time to get b*tchy with the dresses and express ourselves...

Did you watch the awards? It was very fun with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, they said some really good jokes and kept running the show in a light way.  I'll post their intro at the end.

Now, let's get to the dresses! I spotted 4 major trends last night and I have rounded up each one so you can pick your winner from each trend and then an overall winner. I hope you like this so, let's start discussing the red carpet !

People's + Critics' Awards : Fashion Report

Sorry I haven't blogged since last Monday but I had a little love-hate ( more hate than love ) relationship with my computer this week! but it has been solved and I'm back again :)

So, this week we had 2 awards : Peoples's and Critics' Choice Movie Awards, which means, fashion report for the Red Carpet !

So, let's take a look at some actresses that walked through the critics carpet, ehem, red carpet.

During one of my previous posts about bags, I discovered the designer Matthew Williamson, maybe you already know him, but I didn't, and what I saw was amazing.

A celebrity with a mortal body, FINALLY !

Hello everybody !
Did you see Reese Whiterspoon's pictures? She just had a baby like 2 months ago ! I'm happy to finally see a celebrity with a normal metabolism, you know, like us, mortals.

She was out and about in Hawaii ( lucky baby, already a stamp on the passport ) with all her family. This is her 3rd child and she looks amazing, I love her, she is very smart and humble ( looks like it ).

Don't you just feel mad when you see one of those models that just popped out a baby and the next day they look like nothing happened to them? I mean, how is that possible? How?  The only explanation is that they are not from this planet, their genes have been modified or something like that...

Anyway, let's take a look at Reese and feel happy that there are still normal celebrities out there who don't care to be seen with a little cellulite and living a regular post baby life.

I like the bathing suit, it covers her but doesn't look like a granny.

 

Christmas Break 2012

 

Hello everybody!

Last week I went on a roadtrip to Nicaragua as I told you here, it is 14 hours away from El Salvador by car as we had to go through Honduras and then Nicargua, it was a long ride but we had a great time.  I had the chance to have a sandy/beachy Christmas and it was really nice, the weather was perfect, the ocean amazing and the food was really delicious.

Celebs on the watch for 2013

Hi everybody!
How was your New Year's celebration? I hope you had a really nice time and had the chance to scream: HAPPY NEW YEAR !, I wish you all the best for this year and may all your dreams come true :)

We wrapped 2012 with lots of gossip, specially Kim Kardashian's pregnacy being announced on December 31, can you believe that? Just a little over a year ago she was making such a huge show for her wedding and now she's with Kanye West and expecting his child.

First of all, do you like the Kardashians? Be honest please, many people don't like them but they must have a big fan base as they are expanding their businesses everywhere.  They are like a guilty pleasure for me, sometime I watch the show, I admit it and don't feel proud of it, feels like I'm killing a double dose of neurons everytime I see that but it's like I can't stop watching until the episode is over, it's crazy, they're crazy, they do so many crazy/stupid things that it just amazes me how they try so hard to keep the show running and 'exciting' for people to see.

But enough about them, this post is about some celebrities we have to keep an eye on for 2013:

1. Jessica Simpson:

She recently posted this pic on her Twitter. She looks nice, looks like only the belly is growing.

Remember she had an endorsment deal with Weight Watchers? Guess that will have to wait 9 more months...
